“Move Over” expansion extends safety to ITD responders
Another significant step to ensure employee safety on the roadsides was taken March 27 as the “Move Over” expansion was signed into law. The extends protections to include responders to roadside emergencies, such as ITD workers and tow operators.

It's not easy. The employee is hoisted 15 or more feet in the air, then must hold the sign in the correct location while also holding a drill in one hand and placing the self-tapping screw on the end of the drill bit. It can be stressful. "Extremely difficult" is also appropriate.
