2019 roadeos improve training, skill and safety
The annual equipment roadeos are slated to begin May 16 and run through mid-June. The events were retooled last year to entice new transportation techs. They will be re-shaped again this year.

After 47 years, N20836 leaves for a new mission
In Oct. 1972, Darrell Manning traveled to Wichita to pick up a new airplane for ITD. He paid $22k for a shiny, new Cessna 182 N20836 and flew it to Boise. After 47 years, it's moving on again.

Idaho's Governor Little declares April Engaged Driving Awareness Month - VIDEO ADDED
To save lives and educate Idahoans about the dangers of inattentive driving, Governor Brad Little proclaimed April 2019 to be Engaged Driving Awareness Month in Idaho. An event April 4 at Idaho Power challenged businesses to keep their workforces engaged in the drive.

More than 1 million Idahoans committed to organ donation
More than one million Idahoans are now committed to organ donation, making the state one of the highest per-capita donor registries in the nation. To celebrate this milestone, the 'Yes Idaho' Donate Life Coalition is holding a press event Tuesday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. in Headquarters' lobby.

Idaho Aviation Accident Scorecard shows overall progress
In 2014, Aeronautics developed an aviation accident scorecard to track the progress of its safety initiatives throughout the year. The latest report shows a slight increase in Idaho aviation accidents recently, but reflects an overall reduction in accidents in Idaho since safety has been emphasized.
