"Lunches for Truckers" event at East Boise Port of Entry supports truck drivers and their vital role
Generosity is pouring in across Idaho during the COVID-19 emergency. On April 3, the Idaho Trucking Association showed support to truckers traveling through ITD’s East Boise Port of Entry. Governor Brad Little and other volunteers handed out 2,000 lunches to appreciative truck drivers.

Idaho ports of entry provide essential service during outbreak
As COVID-19 halts activities around the world, trucks are still moving on Idaho roads and work continues at ports of entry. The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is dedicated to providing a safe system to allow for the essential delivery of goods, medical equipment, and other important services throughout Idaho and the nation. At the East Boise Port of Entry, 2,400 trucks pass through every day on the eastbound side of Interstate 84.

New highway and transit projects, and heavy-vehicle routes will highlight April phone meeting of Idaho Transportation Board
Conducting its business via telephone next week, the board will consider a new highway project in District 1, two transit projects, and designating some routes in District 6 for heavier commercial vehicles.
