Daylight Savings Time
Don’t forget to Spring forward
Set those clocks forward one hour this weekend because Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. The American Public Health Association encourages everyone to check your stockpile of emergency items available in case of a disaster at the same time you are setting clocks forward.

Pedestrian Safety
NHTSA report tracks pedestrian death and injury, offers safety tips
We are all pedestrians, at one time or another. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently reported that 4,743 pedestrians were killed and an estimated 76,000 injured in traffic crashes in the United States during 2012. On average, a pedestrian was killed every two hours and injured every seven minutes in traffic crashes that year.
