People waving signs along roadways are fairly common, but a masked “pirate’ encouraging motorists to put their phones down was a surprising morning sight for Boise drivers passing the Idaho Transportation Department Headquarters building May 18.

Terry of Terry’s Vending passes away May 14
Terry Leon Harris touched the lives of many people at ITD Headquarters. He was the man behind Terry’s Vending that for years supplied countless snacks and other refreshments through vending machines located near the Headquarters’ break room.

District 5
District 5 celebrates employees May 26
District 5 celebrated the contributions of all 145 employees in the Pocatello main office and outlying sheds with an appreciation luncheon May 26 provided by district leadership. The event had been delayed due to the Foreman's Conference and ITD Board meeting earlier in the month.

“Building Castles for a Cause,” an initiative last summer from ITD’s Division of Motor Vehicles to benefit the Idaho Foodbank, won an AAMVA regional award May 12 for community service

Encore (05-27-16): IT begins district visits in support of department objectives
Chris Victory, the new Chief Information Officer for ITD, will visit each district early this summer to deliver a simple message, fueled by a genuine desire for the improvement of his section. His message: IT can be a valuable partner in the successes of every business group and every internal customer in helping the department achieve its mission.
