ITD to launch Emerging Leaders program
Applications for the ITD Emerging Leaders program will open on October 16, 2017. Emerging Leaders is a new leadership development program with the goal of increasing the leadership skills of high-achieving employees who aspire to be future leaders at ITD. The program is set to kick off in January 2018.

When the backlog of "non RT" or special circumstance titles grew to six weeks in July, DMV Administrator Alberto Gonzalez challenged the Titles Unit to reduce that delay as quickly as possible.

Idaho Transportation Department refinances GARVEE to save $13.1 million for taxpayers
The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), working cooperatively with the Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA), will save approximately $13.1 million in interest costs on GARVEE highway bonds, as the department refinanced $101 million of the debt package on Sept. 28.

Brown-bag luncheon planned for Transportation Research Board visit to ITD on Oct. 24
Staff from the national Transportation Research Board (TRB) will be visiting ITD Headquarters on Oct. 24 to meet with ITD management and staff. As part of the visit, there will be a brown-bag lunch in the auditorium with video conferencing in each of the districts. The noon session is open to all ITD staff.

Department Honors
Freeman and Maupin add to ITD history at Western Snow & Ice
The duo of D6's Trent Maupin and D3's Robin Freeman competed last week in the equipment skills portion of the Western Snow & Ice Conference, Sept. 27-29 in Loveland, Colorado. For Maupin, it was his third visit in a row to the national competition. It was the fourth trip for Freeman, but his first time in 10 years.
